Eventually, these hard, dark bumpy areas formed on the powder so I avoided that area of the compact because it would not budge on to the sponge at all. No matter how hard I tried to get the powder on the sponge, it would not absorb onto the sponge the same way. I have been using this compact for over 6 years and have NEVER had an issue with it until I bought it here. Immediately with the first try, I knew this product was not the same. The one I purchased here was just a little yellower than the original one I had but did not think anything of it as mine was a little over a month old. When I got the product, it looked pretty legit and I had some left over from an original I had bought at the MAC store to compare. When I found my favorite MAC compact at such a steep discount, I was through the roof with excitement.
